We've visited Mitathal site after Bedwa. Mitathal is more than 20km southwest of Farmana and Bedwa. The site is consisted with a couple of mounds. However surface of some part are already disturbed and removed. Dr.Shinde mentioned this is the most problem for conservation of archaeological sites in this region.
Because of disturbance, we can see huge amount of potsherd exposed on the surface (pic.1-2).
However the south mound is well-preserved rather than north one. When we visited the mound, there were occupied with camel herd (pic.3-4). `Prof.Kubo tried to make friendship with them (pic.5). But they didn't care with curious Japanese...
Also there are many remains of kilns exposed on surface. Some of them are destructed (pic.6-8). I've heard that this part is under excavation just now by MDU, Rohtak team.
When we backed to the foot of south mound, one camel baby just came out (pic.9).
Camel shepherds served camel milk tea to us. It is quite rich taste rather than cow milk (pic.10).
There were not only camels but also peacocks. Prof.Kubo tried to pursue a peacock (pic.11).

The site is located on very flat land. Nowadays, irrigation system are developed and fertilize Haryana Plain (pic.12) . Was there same condition in Pre- and Mature Harappan times? Geomorphology and land utilization is very important subject to understand settlement and socio-economic system in this region.
